Saleem Ahmed, MD, who specializes in interventional cardiology, achieved board certification in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology as well as Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. After completing his MD at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1998, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. At Case he received the Charles CJ Carpenter award for outstanding senior medical resident. Dr Ahmed then continued his training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, completing fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
