When you’re scheduled for a procedure or surgery at UF Health The Villages Hospital, your comfort and safety are our top priorities. That’s why you’ll undergo what’s called a pre-procedure assessment. This important step ensures you’re as fit as possible for surgery and anesthesia, and that our care is tailored to your unique needs. The average visit varies from 30 minutes to 1 hour. During your interview with one of our registered nurses, you can expect to be asked a variety of questions concerning your medical history, current medical condition, physical condition, surgical history, current medications and allergies. This interview may take place via telephone or may require a visit to the center in our East Campus building.
