Francisco Schwartz-Fernandes, MD is an orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon with nearly 20 years experience. He has advanced training and board certifications from the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Brazilian Society of Hand Surgery. He also served as Associate Professor at the University of South Florida for 6 years. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Growing up in São Paulo, Brazil, Dr Schwartz-Fernandes often accompanied his father, an orthopedic and spine surgeon, to work. As he observed through his father, Dr Schwartz-Fernandes works as a team with his patients by listening and ensuring they fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
