Florida Eye Specialist Institute was founded by professor Latif Hamed MD in 1997. We offer the latest comprehensive medical, laser, and surgical eye care in a high tech facility that prioritizes excellence in service and patient experience. We offer cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, cosmetic eyelid surgery, treatment for macular degeneration and on-sight optical center. All surgery is peformed at our state-of-the-art outpatient ambulatory surgery center in Ocala. Dr Latif Hamed MD is named in Best Doctors in America and America's Best Physicians, and his daughter Dr Nadine Hamed MD is the recipient of the Resident of the Year Award from UF Shands Hospital 2024. Dr Hamed has Fellowships in both neuro-ophthalmology & pediatric ophth.
