Cheree Wheeler-Duke, MD, a Family Medicine physician since 2010, focuses on chronic disease management and disease prevention with her patients and engages with them in a wellness approach to their overall care. Dr Wheeler-Duke sees patients ages 11 and older at our Highlands Campus. What is your patient care philosophy? My approach to patient care emphasizes the doctor/patient relationship and shared decision making with my patients regarding their short-term as well as long-term health care goals. When did you know you wanted to be a doctor? I knew I wanted to become a physician when I was 15 years old. At that time, I worked as a volunteer in the Mother/Baby Unit at my local hospital.
