Dr. Antonio Caycedo is the chief of colorectal surgery at the Orlando Health Colon and Rectal Institute. He has more than a decade of experience treating patients in several countries and is an expert in robotic surgery, colorectal surgery and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Caycedo is credited with bringing Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery, or TAMIS, to Canada and he is also considered one of the first physicians to bring Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (taTME) to the country. Dr. Caycedo received his medical training from El Bosque University in Colombia. He received additional training in Canada, including a fellowship and certification in colorectal surgery. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
